👟 Pickleball Tip of the Week with Coach Jelani Although pickleball is the fastest growing sport in the country. It is fastest growing for injuries too. If playing regularly, make sure you stretch for at least 20 minutes daily before playing. Prepare and warm up your muscles before you’re flying all over the court chasing down those tough shots! Full body stretch is important but, if limited on time, focus keenly on hips and lower body. Coach Jelani is going to conduct a free Pickleball clinic (all skill levels welcome). 🏌🏻 Come Putt with the Pros The PGA Superstore Plantation offers a free putting clinic every Saturday from 10-11 a.m. and a free putter fitting from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Call 954-331-3333.

🍯 Farmers Market Plantation hosts a Farmers Market every Sat at Volunteer Park. I visited Sumptuous Hummus to try it, and WOW! I’ve never had dessert hummus b/f but, it was really good. I loved it! Visit Johnny Vin and try his hummus. Sat 3/15, 9a - 2p.

🍽️ Where in the World is Dr. Bob? Plantation personality Dr. Bob loves the Plantation Diner. He said it never disappoints him and the service is always nice and efficient. He tried the hand breaded chicken tenders and it was something new, fresh, and delicious for him. He said the seasoning was perfect and helped to get him off to a great start to the day. 🥎 He also wants Plantation to know, SPHS Softball team fell to FL Christian 13-7. They’re away for a tourney in Palmetto Bay. Next home game is 3/18 vs Archbishop McCarthy. Game time is 3:45p at Pop Travers Park. They’re 2-7 on the year. Check out their full schedule here.

🔫 Women at the Ready Mylene Darielli (Plantation resident 23 yrs) teaches a self defense academy for women. Her March class sold out very quickly. Next class is 4/6, 12p-4p. Sign up here. 🎸 Rock the Park Recap It was a packed house Fri night. Amazing show! Great food trucks. Councilmember Tim Fadgen & Jo Jo from Parks & Rec opened the show. It was a great time all around! Next Rock the Park is Sat 4/5 with Caliente. Pine Island Soccer Park, Doors/Food 6p. Music 7p.

🍋‍🟩 Lime Fresh Mexican Grill Nothing is more American, than Mexican Food! 😂 This is one of my favorite restaurants in Plantation! Fast casual perfection located in the Fountains. They have made-to-order menu items with local ingredients including from-scratch salsas! Their amazing and friendly staff waits on you, so it is quasi full service. They believe things are better when you keep it fresh; and I agree. A must visit if you love Mexican food 🌮.

🍔 Food Trucks Wednesdays at Volunteer Park there are 12 of the best food trucks, a DJ playing music, games & activities for the kids, and an artisan vendor. This is a great event for the family. Come out on 2/26 from 5 pm - 9 pm and get some great eats.

🚨Traffic Speed Cameras Permits are still being pulled, and camera installations are in progress. Remember, there will be cameras running 24/7 in every school zone in the city. Be prepared to slow down in these areas to avoid getting a speeding ticket. Here is where they’re located on Peters Rd. 

⛳️ Golf Brings Friends Together I played golf with former LPGA player Danielle Amiee🏌️‍♀️in Naples. She is good! It was a very humbling experience. If you’re a golfer, reply to this email with a pic of you on the course & your scorecard and we will publish them in the Plantation Buzz! We played at her club Mediterra in Naples. It was an incredible track. Immaculate. Perfect greens. What a course! Learned a lot!
