Fun fact: The entire opening scene of the 1998 comedy "There's Something About Mary" was filmed in Plantation, not Rhode Island as depicted. Cameron Diaz and Ben Stiller's characters met in front of Plantation's City Hall. Check out the actual spots used in the film here.

“Mamma Mia!” – A Joyous Celebration of Music and Performance
Friday marked my 11th anniversary with my girlfriend Amanda. We celebrated with dinner and then watched Mamma Mia at the Adrienne Arsht Center in Miami. The show was a high-energy, feel-good experience, thanks to its timeless ABBA soundtrack that captivated the audience from the start. Whether you're an ABBA fan or just seeking a fun night out, Mamma Mia is a must-see vibrant musical.
🎭 South Plantation HS Drama Program if you’re a patron of the theater arts, then you will want to learn about and support this incredible group of students. They are an award winning and acclaimed theater program, recognized by ABC World News Tonight. And they’re working on their Spring show: “Suite Surrender”. Show opening on 4/17. Nicolette Trivlis is the Director.
🛳️ Mamma Mia ended its Miami run on Sunday, but you can still catch it and other shows like Grease, Saturday Night Fever, and CATS on Royal Caribbean cruises from Port Everglades and Port of Miami. Amanda and I cruise five times a year with Royal, enjoying these shows in the Caribbean, Mediterranean, and Baltic Seas. We book through Theresa Curbelo at BucketListTravels.net. She is a retired Plantation Firefighter (23 yrs Rescue Division) and cruising expert. Booking with her is free, and she often secures cabin credits or perks. She is cruising right now on the Celebrity Reflection. Contact Theresa and her team for your next cruise.
