🧠 Fun Fact Despite being on Earth for 80 million years, Alligators are not an endangered species. They can be found in waterways from Florida to Texas and all the way to North Carolina.

🚨 National Night Out was Amazing! This annual event is to strengthen community-law enforcement ties for safer neighborhoods. Plantation PD hosted a fantastic event with helicopters, pony rides, bounce houses, and music by The Fuzz. A great time was had by all! Their K9 demonstration was really cool, it included a BSO chopper!
📺 WPLG 10 Is Officially an Independent TV Station The ratings are in and WPLG 10 scored huge ratings success on day one beating ABC (Ch 18).

💧 Water Chlorination Maintenance Aug 24 – Sept 7. The City of Plantation will temporarily switch to free chlorination to maintain water quality. Water remains safe to drink, cook with, and bathe in. 🍽️ Chili’s in The Fountains offers Tex-Mex comfort with a lively bar vibe. I recently visited with my friend Jeff and had a great time in Cat’s section. We coincidentally ran into our friend Victor celebrating his birthday.
If you haven't been to Chili’s in a while, you should return. The Nashville Hot Chicken Crispers are crispy and flavorful, and the bar offers custom cocktails and signature margaritas, creating a buzzing atmosphere, especially during live sports.
🏆 Community Spirit Award Winner - Ayana Luengo is a Plantation resident, a 3 time World Champion Top Gun Large Coed Cheerleader and a Cheerleader at the University of Central Florida.
As a NCAA athlete she helps fellow students, sports team athletes, and her community by fostering school spirit, & enhancing athletic events with her amazing talents.
She is a wonderful ambassador for the City of Plantation and we are all cheering for her (sorry for the pun), as she continues to develop essential life skills through her community involvement in Orlando.
And here at home in Plantation, where she lives with her mom (Ana), sister (Alliyah), and her father (Frank - who is a Plantation Firefighter at Station 4).
