🧠 Fun Fact Labor Day is Monday. This issues reader’s poll is dedicated to it. So we wanted to share some fun facts about the holiday:
Labor Day started as a part of the labor union movement, to recognize the contributions of men and women in the US workforce, but modernly is seen as a chance to celebrate the last weekend of summer.
Historians say the expression “No white after Labor Day” comes from when the upper class would return from their summer vacations and stow away their lightweight, white summer clothes as they returned back to school and work.
🐶 Jack has been FOUND!
Last week we reported that Jack was reported missing in the Omega Villas neighborhood. We are thrilled to report that he is back home safely with his loving family. Ysora, Jack’s mom, wanted to thank everyone who was looking for him, and sharing his picture on their socials.
The Buzz got 2 messages from readers concerned about finding Jack. Thank you Plantationites for contributing to the efforts to get him back to his family.
Mom and her family also wanted to thank Chewy Vet Care at Plantation Walk for the excellent care and help they provided.
Message from mom: “Thank you! We are so happy! Reminding everyone about the importance of having your pet microchipped as that is how we were reunited. He also now has an AirTag in case he ever wants to wonder off for a mini getaway again!”
If you ever hear of missing pets in Plantation, let us know and we will help get the word out.
