🧠 Facts About September 11th A solemn day for our country that we should Never Forget:
2,977 people were killed at the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and on United Airlines Flight 93
477 first responders and soldiers were killed: including 343 firefighters, 71 law enforcement officers, 7 paramedics, & 55 service members at the Pentagon.
On any given workday 90,000 people were inside the WTC complex
After the Sept 11th attacks the rescue & recovery clean-up of the 1.8 million tons of wreckage took 9 months
18 people were rescued alive from the rubble of the WTC site
Since 9/11 thousands more first responders and people who were at the WTC that day have died from illness caused by the toxic environment they were exposed to
I’ve been to Ground Zero several times. I was even there 5 months after the attacks. The fires were still burning.
If you have never been to Ground Zero, you must make your way to NYC and visit. The museum is really powerful. Watch the movie in their screening room.
We are stronger when we are together. More important now than ever.
And understanding 9/11 and seeing the devastation caused by these attacks is something every American should see and learn more about. Especially after yesterday’s tragic events in Utah.

🏊♂️ The greatest female swimmer in history, Katie Ledecky, competed at the Plantation Aquatics Complex in Central Park. A plaque now honors her record-breaking 1500-meter freestyle swim at the Southern Zone Sectional Championships.
Ledecky, a nine-time Olympic gold medalist and 21-time World Champion, has broken 16 world records. Her visit inspired the Plantation Swim Team and community, and you can view the plaque in the pool’s entry hallway.
