Fun fact: Plantation’s unique “blue bag” garbage collection system started in 1969 under Mayor Jim Ward. Residents still participate 👀 in a “pay as you throw,” user fee-based collection program by purchasing the “blue bags” at local grocery stores.

👨‍🚒 👩‍🚒 🚒 Plantation Firefighters Graduate! After 6 months of grueling physical drills and classroom work, the City of Plantation Fire Dept Class 24-01 has finished their training and these 19 graduates are our newest Firefighters! Congratulations!!! Check out their class video.

🦸‍♂️ Aden Perry Scholarship Fund 5k Race is awarding $14,000 in scholarships to High School students! Scholarships are based on being a Good Samaritan, not on your grades. 🚨Traffic Speed Cameras We continue to cover and educate the public about the 24/7 traffic speeding cameras that are coming to every school zone in Plantation. Be prepared to slow down in these areas to avoid getting a speeding ticket. Here is where they’re located on Peters Rd.
